I came to your blog first because my mother forwarded me the address. I returned because of your subtitle, to find beauty...

I see these pictures of my beautiful nieces on your sidebar and I realize how un-often I am able to see them, to catch their witty humor, their playful sarcasms. How selfish you are to tuck all that away joy and goodness never to be read because you are to busy fighting the church, the world, the self. How tiresome that must be! There may not be dramatic background music to give you goosebumps, no happy children flying off into the horizon, no articles designed to convict and change the minds of the masses, just your life as you know it, and every little piece of it that makes it worth living.

The question should no longer be, "what have I done today that I ashamed of" instead it should be "what have I seen today that I am proud of"

That is exactly why you should blog.

Stop trying to build conviction with every post and return to the theme of your blog:

to find beauty in every comment, moment, picture, thought, conversation, interaction in life.

If people wanted to be preached at they would go to church.

I blog because God told me to find my voice. He gifted me with an ability to write. My purpose is to fulfill His purpose for me: to glorify Him and love others as He loves me, and to be a vessel for Him to bring Hope to the hopeless.

Spinner Hubcaps! What a great analogy. I often feel like my life is a set of spinners - I run around in circles and don't feel I'm going anywhere. What's the point? It can get really frustrating when I forget that I'm not the one driving.

Initially blogging for me was to jump on a fast-growing bandwagon that started when I was in college. But I outgrew that quickly. I started to meet new people through networking, I found my writing style and quality was getting better and better, and I was able to think through various issues and engage others in conversation about it. Those are the main reasons I keep blogging today. My blog can be pretty eclectic, but I have gotten a great deal of rewards from it.

I started blogging to be an encouragement to others doing life similar to mine. It's turned into a community of sorts. Hang in there Aaron....it's how we better get to know each other's heart and help support and encourage each other! RELATIONSHIPS!!

I agree with Cindy, it is just a place to write that I can put down some funny stories in my life that also have a big meaning to me. Maybe it will help someone else who reads it. I don't think a blog has to be anything other than what you want it to be.

I blog because I love to write (5%) and because I love to mentor women (95%). The purpose behind my blog is to fulfill the calling I know God has placed on me. Why not speak to as many as possible? What I'm finding is that there are some men who read my blog, too, which tickles me. Especially when I talk about my front butt or something else "woman" related. God help those men :)

My suggestion for people who want to blog is to just know why you are doing it. I know people who have a blog for the sole purpose of keeping pictures of grandbabies readily available for the grandfolks. Stay true to who you are. Dear Lord, I'm sounding like Paul Abdul.
